NVIDIA Shield Reduces Price to $300, Hits Retailers On June 27th
Great news for mobile gamers, as the NVIDIA Shield has already been reduced $50 from its original price tag. That small Android portable gaming console will now cost users $300 instead of $350 when it hits retail shelves on June 27th.
NVIDIA explained the new, lower price and release date in a blog post today which credited gamers who asked for a lower price point. Kudos to NVIDIA to listening and acting on real consumer feedback.
“We’ve heard from thousands of gamers that if the price was $299, we’d have a home run,” the post reads.
Don’t worry if you pre-ordered the device already, as you will only be charged the $300 instead of the $350. NVIDIA has confirmed that the device will be available for purchase at Newegg, GameStop, Micro Center and Canada Computers on the 27th.
