Official: Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus unveiled

Samsung has unveiled a new tablet, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, showing us it hasn’t forgotten what made it a big name in the Android tablet realm initially (the 7-inch Galaxy Tab, in case you guys forgot).  Cutting a bit more fat (to 9.96mm thinness) to make space for more muscle power, the company has upgraded the yesteryear’s device to boast of a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with a gig of RAM to support that, 21Mbps HSPA+ network support, a 7-inch multitouch display now capable of 1024×600 pixel resolution and a beefy 4000mAh battery.  The basic imaging needs are taken care of by a 3mpx camera on the rear and a 2MP lens on the front, but that’s nothing to grumble about, since a majority of users won’t be buying a tablet for its imaging prowess anyway.  The device comes with Honeycomb 3.2 operating system out of the box but you might not notice much of it at a glance, since it’ll be running underneath Samsung’s latest version of the TouchWiz UI.

The Galaxy Tab Plus 7.0 Plus will be available in Indonesia and Austria to start at the end of October, but will be gradually released elsewhere (including the US, yay!) after that.  No price has been suggested as of now, but you can bet it won’t come as cheap as the Amazon Kindle Fire.
