Palm Pre 2 hits Rogers at $99

The Verizon Pre 2 is yet to make an appearance after its official announcement but it seems like thing are moving much faster in Canada.  The Pre 2 is now available on Rogers and it goes for a cheap $99.  The two-year agreement remains of course but with its 1GHz processor and improved multitasking capability, you may not even notice that time go by.  Also onboard is a 5-megapixel camera and a multitouch glass display in lieu of the plastic one on the original Pre which should make the smartphone better at fighting off scratches and whatnots.  The much improved HP webOS 2.0 may not be bringing much to the table compared to earlier but at the least, you should be able to enjoy Flash 10.1 support on browsing.

Stoked enough? Head over to Rogers to take the plunge and for the rest of us this side of the border, it’s up to Verizon to get this baby out before their promised Q4 release date is up.
