Pantech Element Pops Up for Pre-Order at AT&T Stores, $300 On Contract $450 Without
After a leaked marketing poster popped up yesterday in an AT&T corporate store, it looks like the Pantech Element is finally ready to come out of hiding. Official today, the eight-inch slab is now available for pre-order at AT&T stores. Even though the device has yet to reach most stores for demo purposes, it is confirmed to start shipping on January 22nd. Speculated pricing has also been confirmed at $300 with a two-year contract or $450 for those of us who live with commitment issues.
Interested consumers can look forward to a slightly customized Android 3.2 OS alongside other major specs including: an eight-inch touchscreen, a dual-core, 1.5GHz processor, a five-megapixel rear camera, and a two-megapixel front facing camera. Additionally, the ports should have closeable covers on them in order to live up to its water resistant bragging rights. Users should note that the tablet is not intended to withstand full blown water submissions.
The Pantech Element is expected to make its grand debut at this year’s CES 2012 event.
