Pinterest Adds Notifications, Ability to Mention Friends, and Search Suggestions to Android and iOS Apps
Good news for all you Pinterest addicts, as the company released an update to its Android and iOS apps today that bring some useful desktop features to your smartphone. The first thing you’ll notice is the addition of notifications: now you can view all your comments and mentions via push notifications or within the app. You’ll also be able to mention friends from your mobile app using the @ symbol (similar to how Instagram works). And last but certainly not least, Pinterest has added suggested search terms to help speed up your queries, and it will mirror searches that you did from your PC.
