Press Shot of the HTC Edge Leaks Out Into the Wild, Possible First Quad-Core Android Device
In what appears to be the first unofficial press shot of HTC’s most elusive handset, the HTC Edge has finally leaked out into the wild. According to PocketNow, the Edge would be one of the first smartphones to be powered by a quad-core processor. The AP30 chip would clock in at 1.5GHz and could potentially carry double the speed of previous HTC handsets, like the HTC Rezound.
Specs still remain under heavy speculation at this point for the Edge, but PocketNow also alludes to the device sporting a 4.7-inch screen with 720p. Additionally, Beats Audiois expected to come pre-installed on the device alongside 32GB of internal storage, and Bluetooth 4.0. Software remains equally unknown at this time, although we can’t help but hope the Edge ships Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) ready.
HTC has a history of unveiling their featured smartphones during the Mobile World Congress event, which is scheduled in February. All things considered, we expect to see additional details surface on the Edge later this winter or even early spring time.
