Radio Shack reveals Samsung Galaxy S 4G pricing
T-Mobile itself is yet to reveal the pricing on its upcoming LTE-capable Galaxy S 4G but that hasn’t stopped retailers from announcing their price tags. After the Wal-Mart price leak recently, Tmo News has now unearthed an ad from Radio Shack revealing the price as $149.99, a mere $1.11 more than that offered by Wal-Mart. We are yet to see T-Mobile’s take on this detail but with an announced February release, we should be hearing from them pretty soon.
As for the Galaxy S 4G itself (which also goes by the names of Vibrant Plus and Vibrant 4G by the way), the smartphone definitely packs a punch. Pushing aside the fact that this will be T-Mobile’s first device capable of HSPA+ 21Mbps (theoretically at least), the Galaxy S 4G features a 4-inch Super AMOLED multitouch display and a 5MP rear camera that can do 720p HD video recording, while humming along smoothly on a Cortex A8 Hummingbird 1GHz processor to power Android 2.2 Froyo. The operating system could see an upgrade to Gingerbread, if the front-facing camera is any indication. The phone also comes with a preinstalled 16GB memory card and is fueled by a 1650mAh Li-0n battery.
As an added bonus, T-Mobile will be bundling Nolan’s masterpiece released last year, “Inception,” to its customers completely free.
