How to Root the Oppo R1L
In order to bring the best out of your Oppo R1L, you should consider rooting it. A rooted device can do things that are far beyond the capabilities of an unrooted one. An unrooted device only allows you to do limited things, like changing the wallpaper and so on. But on a rooted device, you can even change the entire operating system (which allows you to change just about everything on your device).
If you’re one of those adventurous smartphone users and want to give rooting a try, here’s how you can root your Oppo R1L and start getting a little more out of it. Rooting your device isn’t as hard as you might think. Here’s how:
I. Before You Begin
1. This will void the warranty of your device. Since this is a technical procedure, we will not be held responsible if you end-up bricking your device as the result of doing this procedure. Do it at your own risk.
2. This only works on Windows based PCs as the tool that roots the device is only available for Windows operating system.
3. This procedure only roots the device. It doesn’t install a custom recovery.
II. Downloading Required Files
1. Download iRoot and save it to your desktop.
iRoot (Download the English version of the tool)

2. When the tool is installed, go to your desktop and double-click on its icon to launch it.

4. Plug in your device to your computer using the USB cable.
5. Let iRoot do its process to recognize your device.
6. Click on Root in the tool and wait for it to gain root-access on your device.
7. Reboot your device when the tool has done rooting it.
8. Unplug your device from your PC.
9. You are now rooted!
Awesome! Your Oppo R1L handset is now rooted and you can confirm it by installing Root Checker on your device. The app should say you have root-access on your device.
