How to Root the Qmobile Noir Quatro Z4
The brand Qmobile will mostly be known to our Asian readers, and if they know that name, they might also know that the Quatro Z4 in their Noir line now stands to be the manufacturer’s flagship device. With its 5-inch full HD display, 13MP camera, and 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM, the device sure lives up to this title and if you want to take control of it like never before, rooting it is the one thing you need to. The guide below should help you with that, and if you are into custom ROMs, you could flash a custom recovery, which we will cover in a separate post.
I. Before You Begin
1. Back up everything you feel is important before you start.
2. Charge your device to 75% or more before you begin to prevent unwanted shutdowns.
II. Necessary Downloads
Framaroot-1.8.0.apk [or latest version, file attached to this post]
III. Rooting the Qmoble Noir Quatro Z4
1. Connect your device to your PC and copy the Framaroot-1.8.0.apk file you downloaded above to your device’s SD card.
2. Use a file manager app (Astro or ES File Explorer, for example), navigate to the location of Framaroot-1.8.0.apk, and install the application. Make sure you have enabled installation of apps from unknown sources by going to Settings > Security and ticking the Unknown sources checkbox.
3. Go to your app drawer and open up the Framaroot app.
4. Select Install SuperSU from the drop-down menu and tap on Boromir.
5. Wait for the success popup.
6. Reboot your device.
