Samsung Announces the S7, S7 Edge & Gear 360
Samsung had a crazy, VR-filled event today in Barcelona to announce the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, their latest new flagship devices.

Samsung Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge
- Two varieties, smaller S7 5.1 inch vs the larger S7 Edge 5.5 inch with the curved display we’ve seen in the S6 Edge.
- Improved Edge panel to swipe to get to apps.
- Opened the Edge panel as an SDK for developers to use to integrate into their own apps.
- Always on display.
- IP 68 Certified (spend up to 30 mins in 1.5 meters)
- MicroSD card slot
- F1.7 aperture, dual pixel (faster focus), larger pixel 13MP camera on the back
- New motion panorama feature that captures some movement as an animation
- 30% faster processor, 63% faster GPU
- Liquid cooling
- 3000mah battery and 3600mah battery, respectively
- Vulcan Gaming Enabled
- In select countries, you’ll get a Gear VR with purchase of a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge
Gear 360
Along side the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, Samsung also announced a new accessory called the Gear 360.
- Camera that can live streamed feed to your Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge
- Simultaneously captures 360 degree footage.
