Samsung Galaxy S II Gets Official for Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile: Sprint Is First To Confirm Pricing
The Samsung Galaxy S II has officially been unveiled today for its eager US consumers. As expected, Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T will all be receiving variants of the device. Sprint and T-Mobile will receive the 4.5-inch super AMOLED screen, while AT&T consumers will have to make do with the smaller 4.3 inch display model.
Reportedly, the AT&T version looks almost identical to the European Galaxy S II with no obvious distinction. However, the Sprint and T-Mobile versions are said to have only slight differences than its European counterpart.
Sprint’s variant, the Epic 4G Touch rocks the 4.5 super AMOLED touchscreen with a slightly rounder frame than the AT&T version. T-Mobile’s variant appears to be the most rounded of the three handsets. All three devices house a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, an 8 mega pixel rear facing web camera, 16GB of internal space, and 4G support in either HSPA+ or WiMAX.
Sprint was the first carrier to confirm a September 16th availability with a price tag of $199, while T-Mobile and AT&T still have us in the dark. Regardless, we’re just happy to see the highly anticipated Galaxy S II make its way to the states.
