Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Unboxing (Video)

So I already sort of did a first impression video on the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge while I was at MWC, you can check that out by clicking the link below, but my own S7 Edge just arrived and figured it just wouldn’t be right to not do a quick unboxing video as well.

What Comes in the Box

Of course, here we have the box. Inside it we have the quick start guide that people like us never read. And under that we have the phone which we’ll get to in a bit.

Under that we have a sleeve that contains the SIM card removal tool that has a small hole in it to be put on a keychain if you needed. And we also have a large booklet of safety and warranty information that again, people like us don’t read.

Under that we have our Quick Charge 2.0 charger a USB to micro USB cable and this dongle to turn that into a micro to micro USB cable which Samsung has you use to transfer data from your old phone to your new phone with.

We also have a small plastic case that contains a set of in-ear headphones that also come with extra ear pieces for those of us with larger than normal earholes apparently.

The Phone

The phone has a 5.5” Super AMOLED 2.5K display with it’s curved edges which is one of it’s only differentiating factors between it and the Galaxy S7 which has a 5.1” non-curved screen and a slightly smaller battery.

On the top we our SIM card slot and microSD card slot.

On the right side we have the power button

On the left side we have the volume buttons.

At the bottom we have the home button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner and capacitive buttons for back and multitasking view. Which, by the way are reversed compared to every other Android phone I feel like, no clue why Samsung does that. And underneath our MicroUSB port.

And on the back we have a 12MP larger pixeled camera with a 1.7 aperture, phase detection autofocus image stabilization and an LED flash.

Under the hood we have Android 6.0 with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI built on top and that’s being processed by a Snapdragon Octacore processor and 4GBs of RAM.

And finally, all of this is being powered by a 3600mah battery.
