Samsung Galaxy Z for Three Sweden unveiled
Oddly enough, the announcement for the new Galaxy Z comes from Three Sweden, with not a peep from Samsung itself. Anyways, the device has been revealed by the carrier today in its lineup and will go for 3995 Swedish kronor (€435 or $630). The handset seems like a cross between the lower-specced Galaxy SL and the high-end Galaxy S II. Here’s a quick look at what it’s made of:
- 4.2-inch SC-LCD touchscreen WVGA 800×480 display
- Tegra2 chipset with dual-core 1GHz Cortex-A9 CPU
- 8GB of onboard memory
- Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, and aGPS
- 5MP camera with LED flash and 720p video recording
- 8GB of onboard storage
The only gripe we could have is the 5MP lens and no 1080p video recording, but other than that, the Galaxy Z looks like a great phone in the mid to slightly high end range. Also, while no info is given on the Android version the device runs, we could assume there’s Gingerbread 2.3.4 underneath that TouchWiz UI.
No info yet on whether this will ever see a release in any other regions, but we will wait and see.
