Samsung Plays Nice and Provides Kernel Source Code for Galaxy Note
Samsung has been playing nice when it comes to offering up its kernel source codes for several of their devices. This time the company has decided to provide the goods on its Galaxy Note. Developers can now work their way to customization heaven as the kernel source code is now available on Samsung’s site.
Samsung has yet to make any official plans to send the 5.3-inch tablet/phone hybrid stateside. So, that being said any enthusiastic developers who are familiar with the ways of GSM can get to hacking on the device when it is scheduled to launch abroad in November.
In case you can’t remember what the fuss was about, the Galaxy Note features a dual-core 1.4GHz processor, runs Android 2.3 at an impressive 1280×800 resolution, with an 8megapixel camera and secondary 2mp front sensor. And it comes with a stylus.
