Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc now available in the US, unlocked
The Xperia Arc has been available in Europe and even in Canada for some time now, but the device has taken its own sweet time to land now in the US of A. While it may not boast of features like a dual-core CPU or 4G speeds, the Xperia Arc has style working for it more than its features.
If you didn’t already know, the handset features a 1GHz Scorpion processor coupled with 512MB RAM, HSDPA network support, a 4.2-inch Reality capacitive display, and runs on Android 2.3 operating system underneath its customized Timescape UI. The device’s major selling point should be its 8MP camera with LED flash, which can do 720p video recording. All these features are housed in a shiny body that comes in two colors – Midnight Blue and Misty Silver.
The Android device is available from Sony’s online store currently with an asking price of $599.99 currently, which sounds okay considering it comes unlocked, though we wonder if any carrier has even thought of picking this up amidst the likes of the Evo 3D and the Galaxy S II.
