Sony Xperia Ion showcased at CES 2012
Another device to be unveiled under the “Sony” name alongside the Xperia S is the Xperia Ion – it will also be the first ever Sony Android device to come with LTE capabilities. The device has all the hallmarks of becoming a flagship device and if you don’t believe us, just take a look at its impressive spec sheet:
- 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3 with an Adreno 220 GPU and 1GB RAM
- 4.55-inch Sony’s BRAVIA Engine Reality display with a resolution of 1280 x 720
- 16GB internal storage with microSD support for up to 32GB
- 3G, EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi, LTE, Bluetooth v3.0 and microUSB v2.0 connectivity
- 12 MP AF rear camera with 1080p video recording at 30fps (front-facing VGA camera)
- Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS
You can catch a glimpse of this great device if you are visiting CES this year or just wait for Sony to out it, which will happen most probably in the second quarter of 2012.
