Sprint Plans to Host ‘Strategy Update’ Press Event October 7th
Members of the media have started to receive an event invitation for a ‘strategy update’ from Sprint. The event, slated to occur in New York on October 7th, is expected to detail the company’s strategy moving forward. While the juicy details of the Now Network’s strategy remain unclear, we do know senior management will be present and hosting a QA session.
So what might be in store for us? Primarily, Sprint’s future with 4G is widely under speculation since it scored a deal with company LightSquared. The deal was expected to provide 4G LTE support to Sprint users, but nothing has surfaced yet. Sprint is also likely to unveil specifics about the highly anticipated iPhone 5. The company is expected to launch the next generation iPhone this fall.
