Street Fighter Coming To Android in 2012 Thanks to Capcom and LG Contest
Thanks to a unique contest hosted by Capcom and LG, one of the most infamous games, Street Fighter IV HD, is headed to the Android platform in 2012. The contest will use AT&T’s LG Nitro HD here in the USA and the LG Optimus LTE in Japan and Korea, and will be structured like a fighting tournament. Despite the contest having $21,000 in cash prizes up for grabs, the best thing that could result out of this contest is the game coming over to the Android mobile OS.
Street Fighter for Android is expected to be optimized for 720p resolution displays and for handsets powered by dual core processors at minimum. Initially, Street Fighter IV HD will be available exclusively on the LG Nitro HD to start, but we’re sure the game’s release will roll out to additional Android handsets throughout 2012.
If you’re interested in actually competing in the Capcom and LG contest head over to the sign-up sheet to secure your spot. The contest kicks off January of 2012 and is sure to be just as infamous as the game itself.
