T-Mobile Joins ‘Team Samsung’ in Fight Against Apple, Submits Filing in Support of Samsung
In the seemingly never ending patent dispute between Samsung and Apple, it appears as though Samsung has found new support in the form of T-Mobile. According to a Reuters report today, T-Mobile has not only sided with Samsung in the lawsuit, but submitted a court filing explaining that a sales ban on certain Samsung products would “unnecessarily harm” the carrier and its customers.
The filing continues to plea that “at this late date, T-Mobile could not find comparable replacement products for the 2011 holiday season.” The magenta carrier also mentions that its ads “prominently feature” some of the Samsung products in question, and that those investments “cannot be recouped easily.”
It’s a valiant effort on T-Mobile’s part and time alone will tell if the court filing is enough to aid Samsung in their legal drama.
Regarding the Samsung/Apple case itself, we’ll have to wait until the upcoming October 13th hearing to find out the verdict of the injunction request.
This is because T-Mobiles not going to get an iPhone?
