T-Mobile myTouch makes it to the CyanogenMod list

CyanogenMod has just added another device to its growing list of supported devices and this time around, it’s a mid-range LG device that gets the lucky break.  The LG myTouch (also known as the e739, or as the LG Maxx Touch in other circles) released last November is currently getting nightlies but a stable build should become available pretty soon.  The ROM for this device is being worked on by CM member, Giulio Cervera, whose other works include CM7 builds for the HTC Ace, the Desire, Incredible 2 and Incredible S.

The current builds will be based on Gingerbread and so will come with all the features that CyanogenMod 7 brings, but there’s no word currently on whether the development will include Android 4.0 in the future.  The LG myTouch does have a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, but will this be enough to spur CM to build an ICS-based ROM for the device? We’ll have to wait see.

Head here if you want to try the nightly build to get the feel of the ROM before a stable version is out.
