T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II overclocked to 1.8GHz, doesn’t explode
People over at XDA never cease to amaze us and after taking the HTC Evo 3D on a speed drive recently, they have managed to get the Tmo version of the Samsung Galaxy II running at an amazing 1.8GHz. A kernel called Jugs, cooked up by Romanbb at XDA, will enable any rooted T-Mobile version of the SGS2 to get there and still stay from bursting into flames – courtesy of a different type of processor than the one found in the original Galaxy S2. Also, the kernel should be compatible with most custom ROMs available for the dual-cored device right now, so if you are brave enough to actually go through with it, you actually can.
Head over to the XDA thread to know more and remember, the fact that this kernel is not toasting other SGS2s doesn’t mean that your device won’t. You have been warned!
