T-Mobile’s UNCarrier “Phase 2” Plan Gets Delayed to July 14th
According to TMoNews, the launch of T-Mobile’s UNcarrier “Phase 2” plan has been delayed to July 14th. There’s also a “Phase 3″ in the works, however, details are also unknown. One of the rumored services launching with Phase 2 will be a “new” rate plan that is postpaid, with no credit check. The rates will be the same as what’s now offered and will be marketed toward customers who prefer not to have their credit run. Apparently, EIP will be offered with this plan and customers will buy phones outright.
T-Mobile’s UNcarrier efforts will also be combined with 15 additional markets launching with MetroPCS. Internally dubbed “Apollo 15,” the launch of the additional markets has already been confirmed by top directors from both sides. This will allow Metro customers to use select Sprint, Verizon and GSM-based handsets paired with Metro’s unlimited data plans. The timing can only help booster T-Mobile’s efforts.
We’ll keep you posted on any new launch dates of T-Mobile’s “Phase 2” plan as they surface.
