Tango Video Calling App For Windows Phone Mango Scheduled For Release November 7th
According to Forbes, Microsoft is now set to roll out its Tango video calling service for the Windows Phone operating system. The app is scheduled to launch on November 7th, and it will include hardware acceleration for better quality video calls, and a tight integration with the operating system. Reportedly, the video calling app will come pre-loaded on future Mango-based handsets, but Microsoft has yet to confirm which handsets will see the app first.
Of course this makes us wonder what Microsoft plans to do with its newly acquired Skype venture. A spokesperson for Microsoft told Forbes that the company “does not have anything to announce at this time regarding Skype on Windows Phone.”
