Technology Tops “The Most Discussed Topics on Social Media”
We are saturated in a world where social media is how most people connect to one another nowadays. It makes you wonder if anyone is actually connecting in real life anymore, and more importantly what exactly is everyone talking about on their social media site of choice? Well, Prollie decided to actually analyze more than 5,000 social media accounts in the U.S. gathering data from well known sites like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Foursquare, and Tumblr. The end result was a report that broke down the most discussed topics on social media.
Any guesses for what topics are most talked about? Technology and social media take the gold for number one topics discussed while closely followed up by food, drinking, and travel. Ok, we get technology, food, drinking, and travel–but talking about social media while on social media? Whoa, mind blowing. Movies and television came in third place while niche topics include surfing, classical music, and get this — the island of Nantucket.
