Toshiba Announces its Newest Tablet the Thrive 7″, Headed to Consumers in December
Soon to be joining the expanding 7-inch tablet market, Toshiba announced its latest tablet to be joining the smaller slab ranks this December. Officially named the Toshiba Thrive 7″, the tablet will run Android 3.2 while powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual processor.
Spec highlights include 1280×800 resolution, Toshiba’s Adaptive Display and Resolution+ video enhancements, stereo speakers, 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera, a miniUSB, microHDMI and a microSD card slot. Consumers will have their choice of either the16GB model or the 32GB model.
Where Toshiba hopes to stand out with this device is in the size category. The Thrive 7″ weighs in at less than a pound at 14.1 ounces and is only 0.47 inches thick. Pricing has yet to be announced, but Toshiba hopes to release the tablet to the masses in December.
