Twitter’s Official Tablet App Leaks Out Of IFA, Download APK Here
Any die hard Twitter user will tell you that the official Twitter app for Android tablets has been missing in action. We know that iOS users have an app optimized for the iPad, but once again Android users have been left behind.
Thankfully, Android users won’t have to be jealous of their iOS tweeting friends anymore, as Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet was spotted running an official Twitter app at IFA. The team from Android Next happened to be strolling the IFA show room floor and noticed the app after handling the tablet.
The app that was pulled appears to be the same one that the Note 10.1 was running at IFA. What we don’t know is if this was made available to Samsung as an exclusive deal, or if they were just able to test it out before anyone else.
Tablet users will now notice that their buttons for timeline, mentions, hashtags, and profile can be found on the left side. The far right panel is often used in screens to display additional info such as pictures, profile details, and other popular Twitter items. The app works in both landscape and portrait, and is an older build of 4.1.1. The latest Twitter release is 4.1.7.
So, go on and grab your trusty Android slab and hit the download link below. You may have to uninstall your existing installed Twitter app to get this to work, and don’t forget to let us know how the .apk treats you in the comments below.
