How to Use Guest Mode on LG G Flex 2
“Sharing is caring,” your friends will say, but gently remind them in reply of that other famous maxim: “friends don’t let friends snoop around other people’s phones.” Well, maybe it’s not yet a famous maxim, but in a perfect world, we wouldn’t need such fictional precepts! (I’m telling ya: just wait a few more years for ubiquity to set in.)
As luck would have it this is a world of gross voyeurism, and sneaking a peek at a friend’s phone feels delightfully mischievous. I won’t lie: it is pretty awesome to dramatically reenact a friend’s embarrassing text message convo. But the spying ends here, folks! From here on out, let’s be good friends to each other and make “the snoop temptation” impossible. Enter: Guest Mode on the LG G Flex 2. With this mode enabled, your sensitive data is protected and you won’t feel the pang of anxiety whenever your friends ask to “see your phone for just a sec.”
In order to use Guest Mode, make sure your Lock Screen is set to the Pattern option. (Settings > Display > Lock Screen > Select Screen Lock > Pattern).
Enable Guest Mode on the LG G Flex 2
Next, follow these steps to setup Guest Mode:
1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap on General.
3. Tap Guest Mode.
4. Toggle Use Guest mode on.
5. Tap Set pattern.
6. Decide which pattern you’ll use on the lock screen to activate Guest Mode.
7. Tap Set apps and decide which apps you want to make available for use when in Guest Mode.
Now when your friend asks to see your phone and you’d like to keep his/her eyes from prying too deeply, then input your chosen Guest Mode lock pattern when waking your phone. Now they’ll only be able to access those apps that you’ve deemed fit.
Now that you’ve got your phone on lock down, perhaps you’re left with a lingering shade of an existential crisis: what good is friendship without trust?
I have a problem. Guest Mode is not available on my Flex 2 O_O
Is it possible?
