Verizon Galaxy Tab gets updated
Though not the kind of update (3.0 Honeycomb?) you might be looking for, it is an update nonetheless and brings a few improvements to the popular Samsung tablet. Weighing in at 34.6MB, the update should already be available for all Verizon users, so look for the notification if you haven’t already. Some of the improvements include:
- Searching for Wi-Fi hotspots no longer negatively affects battery life.
- Access hyperlinks directly within email messages.
- Send multiple name cards with the “Select All” feature.
- Successfully open 5MB video attachments from email messages.
- Adobe Flash Player version has been updated to version 10.1.95.2.
- Fixed Time Zone calender setting ensures calendar events are accurate, regardless of the time zone you are currently in.
There’s still no news from either Verizon, Samsung or Google on whether the Tab will get Android 3.0, but more impossible things have happened, so Tab users can still clutch on to some hope unless denied outright by the companies in question.
