Verizon Now Speculated to Launch Voice Over LTE Early 2013
According to Light Over Mobile, Verizon plans to execute their Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) plans early 2013. It appears that the new 2013 timeline seems more realistic, as Verizon has been following an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) in two separate markets.
Verizon was originally expected to roll out VoLTE during 2012, and still may hit that goal by the end of the year but with limited markets to start. Here’s what a Verizon spokesperson had to say about the new VoLTE timeline,
“We’re continuing to work on VoLTE and the services it brings, and will share any launch or availability plans in due course.”
