Verizon Reveals Rugged G’zOne Ravine 2, In Stores November 23rd
Just in time for the holiday shopping season, Verizon Wireless has officially revealed the rugged Casio G’zOne Ravine 2 device along with launch dates and pricing. As expected, the flip-phone meets military-spec 810G standards for resistance to water, shock, dust, vibration, salt, fog, humidity, in addition to holding up in extreme altitude and temperature conditions. The Ravine 2 supports both CDMA and GSM for world roaming with an appropriate Verizon plan.
Consumers interested in purchasing the device can look forward to having full access to Verizon’s push-to-talk network, VZ Navigator for turn-by-turn directions, a microSD card slot which supports up to 32GB cards, and bluetooth capability. Of course, what good would an ultra rugged device be without a 3.2-megapixel camera complete with flash and video recording to capture all of those crazy outdoor moments.
For anyone familiar with previous Casio g’zOne phones, the Ravine 2 will also come equipped with the following features: Earth Compass, Walking Counter, Astro Calendar, Tides, Thermometer, Sunrise Sunset and Star Gaze.
As far as availability and pricing for the device, the Ravine 2 will be available online on November 17 and arrive in Verizon retail stores on November 23rd. Consumers can expect to pay $150 after a $50 mail-in rebate on a new two-year contract.
