Video: Nokia Sea Ray pops up again, gives us a fleeting glimpse of Mango 7.1
If it was Mr Elop himself who unwittingly lead to the Sea Ray’s first appearance, it’s a worker in some Nokia manufacturing unit who thought it might be a good idea to get us a video of the device this time. As you can see from the video, the Nokia W9, as it is called now, has the standard set of buttons – volume toggle and the dedicated camera button – the power button has moved to the side right below the volume toggle, similar to the design found on some Samsung Bada phones. The back, menu and search buttons that are the usual fare of WP7 phones also have their places right below the display of unknown dimensions. There’s also a 3.5mm jack for headphones and a rubber protector for the USB port, on the top facet.
The Mango 7.1 OS can be espied for a few seconds in all its glory before the handset is switched off and according to WPCentral, the OS is a RTM version, which generally means that this is what we’ll see mainstreamed with a few tweaks here and there.
There’s still no word on when the device will actually be announced through its official lines, but a safe bet would be the Nokia World event, which will happen at the end of October.
