Walmart to Offer the iPhone 5 on Straight Talk’s $45 No Contract Unlimited Plan

Walmart plans to beef up its off-contract lineup by announcing that beginning January 11th, the iPhone 5 will go on sale alongside a Straight Talk Wireless $45-per-month unlimited service. Of course, owning the phone off-contract comes at a price with the 16GB priced at $649. As a special option for Walmart credit card holders users can finance the iPhone 5 interest free for $25 a month.

Straight Talk’s $45 monthly plan includes unlimited calling, messaging and data. Unlimited international calling to select destinations can be added for an additional $15 per month. Walmart’s full press release with additional details follows below.

The Apple iPhones for Straight Talk will be available for purchase at the following prices:

iPhone 5 will be available in black and white for $649 for the 16GB model only
iPhone 4 will be available in black and white for $449 for the 8GB model only
