How to Root the Huawei Ascend M860

Good news for the Huawei Ascend M860 users as you can now root your device and gain access to a plethora of root-only apps available for your device. Rooting procedure is a piece of cake, so go ahead and root your Ascend M860:

I. Before You Begin:

1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.

2. Make sure your device has at least 50% of battery life left.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. z4Root APK (It’s attached in the first post)

III. Rooting the Huawei Ascend M860:

1. Download and place the z4Root APK onto your Desktop.

2. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.

3. Copy the z4Root APK over to the root of your SD card.

4. Once it’s been copied, unplug your device from your PC.

5. Head to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development on your device and enable the USB debugging option.

6. Enable the Unknown sources option as well by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Unknown sources.

7. Open the File Manager app and install the APK you copied earlier to your device.

8. Once the app’s been installed, launch it from your App Drawer.

9. Hit Root button in the app and it’ll start rooting your device.

10. You should be rooted now!

Congrats! Your device has been successfully rooted using the z4Root method and you should be able to find the Superuser app in your App Drawer.
