Apple iOS 7 beta 6 Released to Developers

In an unexpected move the team over at Cupertino released iOS 7 beta 6 as an OTA update. This release caught most people off guard, as Apple typically releases new iOS betas to developers on Monday mornings. Taking into account the build’s small size of 13.5MB on an iPhone 5 also indicates that this update may contain an urgent bug fix. That would explain the odd timing of its release. The full changelog is still unknown at this time, but now that it’s out there in the wild, we’re sure feedback on what the build contains will start flowing into forums by morning.

Update: Apple notes on the iOS Developer Center that the release fixes an “issue with iTunes in the Cloud, where some purchases may download or play unexpected items.”

As the final release is still on pace for a fall release we may finally be on the home stretch. Check back tomorrow for our updated How To update your iOS device to the latest iOS 7 beta version.
