  1. Is this verified working? I ordered the MetroPCS F6 today because it has great hardware, 4.5 in touch screen, gorilla glass and the best for last: It was far cheaper than others after the rebate incentives. Add to that MetroPCS guarantees TRUE unlimited for $60 a month. Does anyone know if that $60 is all taxes and fees included? Seems I heard a rumor about that..

Any information is greatly appreciated. Cheers!

      1. Excellent. I was going to go for the cheaper Optimus F3 but, once again, this site saved me from another android headache. Keep up the good work, Mahesh!

  2. I just rooted my t-mobile Optimus F6 and I can see Superuser listed in the apps. Now I’m trying to follow these directions for the custom recovery but I am hung up on #7. When I try to install the APK, it just says “File type not supported.” This phone is brand new, straight from the box and doesn’t have service to it or a SIM card in it. I did pop a 32 GB SDHC in it though. I’ve tried this twice now. Please help! What am I doing wrong?

    1. Hello Andi,

Apparently it’s a file system issue. Please head to Menu > Settings > Security on your device and uncheck the box that says “Unknown sources”. You should then be able to install the APK without any issues.

      Hope it helps!
