Motorola Mobility and Intel Announce Multi-Year, Multi-Device Partnership: Will Ship Intel Based Devices in 2H 2012
Surprising the world at Intel’s CES 2012 keynote address today was Motorola Mobility’s Sanjay Jha with an announcement of his own. Jha showed up just in time to break the news that a multi-year, multi-device agreement had been sealed between the two companies.The deal promises Intel Atom processors to be power up Motorola hardware alongside the Android OS. An excerpt from the press statement elaborates,
The collaboration, which also covers tablets, will combine Intel’s leadership in silicon processor technology and computing innovation with Motorola’s mobile device design expertise to deliver products that have the high performance, long battery life and convenience necessary for increasingly mobile lifestyles.
