HTC Thunderbolt ready for a release soon?
After wooing smartphone lovers at the CES, HTC’s Incredible HD aka the Thunderbolt aka the Mecha may finally be ready for a release in the near future. There is no official word yet on a specific date but a training flyer for Verizon employers is already doing the rounds on the interwebs which points to an imminent release of the device. As we already told you, the Thunderbolt will be Verizon’s first LTE device and according to the flyer, can juggle data and voice simultaneously when on 4G. The device will also support internet sharing via VZW Mobile Hotspot on WiFi. The Thunderbolt also features:
- 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash
- Front-facing camera
- Android 2.2 Froyo operating system with HTC Sense 2.0 overlay and cloud integration
- 1GHz Snapdragon processor with 768MB of RAM
- Kickstand for comfortable viewing
Not a huge match for the likes of the dual-core Android phones that have been announced recently by Motorola or LG, but still a good smartphone nonetheless.
