Video: Is this the Samsung Nexus Prime?

The iPhone 4S might have left a bad taste in many eagerly waiting fanboys’ mouths by just about bringing things on par with the current Android crop, but we have news on what we feel is the next big step in the evolution for Android – the Nexus Prime.  This device has been getting as much press as the iPhone 4S (if not more, depending on the circles you are in) but we really haven’t seen a live picture or even a promotional mockup in all of that – at least, until now.

Sammy is known to tease us with its upcoming high-end wares a short while before its actual unveiling (which is what happened in the case of the Galaxy S2) and the video above seems to be a prelude to what we could expect at Samsung’s Unpacked event, scheduled for October 11th at the CTIA 2011 Expo.  After taking us through what the company feels are perfect combinations, it gives us a fleeting glimpse of a sexy-looking device towards the end, and if that isn’t the Nexus Prime or the Nexus Prime with any other fancy name, the world be damned.  We can easily see the device having a distinctive curve to it – will this mean we could finally see a handset with a “flexible” display Samsung has been talking about? Likely not, but we could still expect something different than what we usually see in Android devices.

The event is scheduled for October 11th and if you aren’t at the CTIA 2011 in person, you could hit up our website to know if something BIG has come or not.
