Video: Toshiba demoes the Thrive, gives us a chance to take one home
While you won’t actually get to see the device in the video, there is some sort of “unboxing” going on here, with the guy peeling off the Toshiba Thrive’s feature one after the other, all with cool CGI bouncing off to make the point.
If you didn’t know (and if you haven’t watched the video above already), the Thrive is the upcoming tablet from Toshiba that’s bound to make its mark, topnotch features and all. The device features a 10.1 inch touchscreen display, a 5MP camera (with 2MP slapped on the front for video call/chat) and a plethora of physical ports – mini HDMI, mini-USB, standard USB v2.0 port, and a microSD slot. In addition to the Nvidia GeForce graphics referred to in the video, the Thrive also features a dual-core 1GHz Nvidia Tegra2 CPU and 1GB RAM to keep things on its Android 3.1 OS smooth and will be available in counts of 8/16/32GB to store things on. The only drawback seems to be the omission of a GSM/CDMA radio, with WiFi being the preferred outlet to the interwebs.
So go ahead and watch the video and once done, feel free to share and have a stab at snagging one for free!
