How To Get the Gtalk w/ Video Calling on the HTC Sensation
You know the new version of Gtalk that allows you to do video calling with other Gtalk users? Wish you could get it on the HTC Sensation? Well, thanks to KillaHurts (if you like this procedure, please donate or thank him), a developer over on XDA, you can. Follow these steps to do just that.
I. Before You Begin
1. You MUST have done our How To Gain S-Off, Flash a Custom Recovery, and Root Your Android Phone Using the Revolutionary Method before doing this procedure. If you have not, please head there, complete it, and then come back to this procedure.
II. Download and Install the Gtalk .zip File
1. Download the Gtalk .zip file and save it to your computer (do NOT extract it, leave it as a .zip file)
Gtalk v1.3 w/ Video Calling (download the .zip version, NOT the .rar file)
2. Plug in your phone via USB cable and mount the SD Card so we can transfer files to it.
3. Copy the Gtalk .zip file to the root of your sd card (not in any folders, just on the sd card itself)
4. Unplug the device.
5. Take out the battery then put it back in.
6. Turn on the phone by holding down Volume Down and Power until the screen comes up.
7. Push volume down then power to select Recovery and wait for it to reboot into recovery.
8. Once in recovery mode, select Backup and Restore then select Backup and wait for it to backup your system.
9. Now, select Install .zip from sdcard then choose .zip from sd card.
10. Select the gtalk .zip file we put on the sdcard earlier and then select yes and wait for it to flash.
11. Select Go back
12. Then select Advanced, then select Fix Permissions
13. Then select Reboot System Now and wait for it to reboot. Done!
installed the app but right now the phone is stuck on fixing permission for the last 5 minutes.
