How to Unroot the Huawei Mercury M886
If you happen to have a rooted Huawei Mercury M886 smartphone but not interested in screwing up your phone by installing modifications, then you should unroot it. It will prevent any accidental modifications on your device, thus making it protected. Here’s how you can unroot your Huawei Mercury M886 smartphone.
I. Before You Begin:
1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.
2. You must have ClockworkMod Recovery installed on your device. Please head to our How to Install ClockworkMod Recovery on the Huawei Mercury M886 procedure first, finish it, then return to this procedure and continue.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Unroot Package (Download link’s given in the first post)
III. Unrooting the Huawei Mercury M886:
1. Download and place the Unroot Package onto your Desktop.
2. Connect your smartphone to your PC using the USB cable.
3. Transfer the Unroot Package file to the sdcard storage of your smartphone.
4. Disconnect your smartphone from the PC after the file has been copied.
5. Turn OFF your smartphone.
6. Reboot your smartphone into the Recovery Mode. To do so, press and hold Volume UP+Power buttons together.
7. Choose install zip from sdcard followed by choose zip from sdcard from the Main Menu of the Recovery.
8. Navigate to the Unroot Package file you just transferred to your smartphone and select it for flashing.
9. After it has finished installing the Unroot Package, choose reboot system now from the Recovery Menu.
10. Your device should reboot.
Congrats ! The unrooting procedure finishes here and your smartphone has successfully been unrooted.
