  1. Good tips… Another thing I have seen that saves (me) A LOT of battery through the day is switching from 3g/4g to EDGE/GPRS. On my MyTouch it is under Mobile Network Settings >> Network Mode >> GSM only. It seems to work for me. Also, you can get a 2g/3g widget on the market to use as a shortcut to this setting or if you have a Cyanogen based ROM, it is on their power control widget too.

  2. i think the biggest thing you can do in regards to battery life is to train the batter when you first get the device. so that means when you first get it use it till it completely dies then charge it for 6-8 hours until its completely full then repeat that process for about a good week or so and that will make battery much MUCH better 🙂

  3. at the end you are kind of wrong, you are not suppose to charge your battery for more than four hours , over time it will kill your battery with the overcharges, something that i found very useful, was changing the network type to GSM/CDMA auto prl. that improve my battery life around , from the usually 6 hours to a full day or even a day and half, the way that works is the following , the manufacturer set the phone to always be looking for the best signal. the settings I’m using lets the phone choose a tower and stay connect it to it, till something happens or you move to another area. there is more to it but thats basically it. but the treat is to get to work in other phones . what i mean is , in an HTC phone YOU type a code and lead you to that hidden menu , while in others there is just no use or i am sure there is an app for that . last once you root it , underclock/overclock your phone is the best way to save battery too. there is an app call cpu tuner is really good, the developer explains how to set it up to your best use. you can turn off background data and location services that also helps it. well thank , happy to help

  4. superpower beta available from market is superb. I have it set to kill the wi-if and mobile data when the screen goes off, and switches it back on. So this isn’t an inconvenience it automatically switches sync and background data on every 15 mins for a few minutes and then off again so my emails still come through regularly. It’s definitely worth checking out.

as plain as it may be, using a black background really helps to conserve battery power. brightly lit backgrounds require power to light the pixels. just turn the flash off for ur camera, put the lens against ur leg and snap a photo. save as the wallpaper and now you have a black background.
