Droid Bionic Gets Official Twitter Page, Promises September 8th Launch
It has been a long road for the highly anticipated Motorola Droid Bionic. The device has already created quite the reputation filled with various blurry camera shots, leaked videos, and an owners manual released into the wild.
Now it seems that Motorola is pushing closer and closer to an actual release with the Bionic popping up with an official Twitter page. The Twitter page gives Droid fans everywhere a reason to mark their calendars for September 8th with the following tweet,
”On September 8th, 2011 the Motorola Droid Bionic will be in your hands.”
A product page (pictured below) also went live for a short period of time on Motorola’s site. Oddly, the product page has since been removed, but a screen shot was grabbed before it was taken down. While in depth specs remain unconfirmed still, the product page did outline 4G LTE speeds, a 1 GHz processor , a 4.3 inch qHD display, and 1080p recording capabilities.
Pricing for the Droid Bionic remains unknown at this time, but the device is rumored to cost around $299 with contract.
The page is not “official” and did not just recently pop up. It has been posting for over a month. The only official twitter pages are motorola, verizon wireless and droidlanding. Try doing some actual research before you post misleading stories.
