Galaxy Note 2 Gets Android 4.1.2 Update in Canada, Brings Multi Window and Chinese Language Support
It’s only been six short months since the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 made its way to retail shelves, but users are still anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Android Jelly Bean update. The wait won’t be much longer for our Canadian counterparts as Samsung took their Facebook page to make the announcement. Here’s what they had to say,
“GALAXY Note II owners with national carriers will begin receiving the Multi Window and Chinese-language support update (Android 4.1.2) on Wednesday. Thanks for your patience Samsung Nation.”
The bump to Android 4.1.2 brings with it a slew of features. Highlights include multi-window functionality, Chinese language support, and the Page Buddy feature which acts intuitively based on the user’s actions. Mundane tasks become easier with Page Buddy like plugging in your headset prompts the music app to launch.
This particular update is currently available for Galaxy Note 2 users on either the Rogers, Bell, Telus or SaskTel network. However, more carriers are expected to follow suit.
