Google Gmail App Will No Longer Be Supported for BlackBerry Devices Starting November 22nd
Sorry BlackBerry users, it appears as though Google has decided to cut all support for their BlackBerry Gmail app starting November 22nd. In an attempt to refocus their strengths onto other projects, the search engine giant just doesn’t think BlackBerry is worth the resources anymore. Google made the announcement just days after unveiling their dedicated Gmail app for iOS.
So what does this mean for BlackBerry owners? For anyone who already has the Gmail app, Google’s support officially ends on November 22nd, and for anyone who doesn’t have the app it will no longer be available for download after the cut off day. If you don’t have the app yet, we suggest getting it before it disappears for good.
Google suggests that all BlackBerry users use Gmail through their mobile browser, as they do plan to continue investing future resources into that area.
