How to Enable 3D Touch on Any iPhone (JB Tweak) (Video)
Fair warning, this is still a work in progress and only works on the home screen, but still, if you want to at least have some idea of what your missing out on your simply, not the latest, iPhone, here’s a good way to experience it.
A developer has created a new JB tweak that allows you to tap and hold to use the 3D touch features throughout the homescreen at least. Combine this with the Live Photos Tweak I did a video on last week and you have a pretty good idea of what 3D Touch is like (and begin to seriously question why the hell Apple needed to add hardware for this to work on the newer iPhones when you can clearly enable tap and hold to do it on all iPhones).
Here’s how to get it and use it.
Jailbreak Your Device
First, you must be jailbroken so please head to my jailbreaking section, click the link there for your version of iOS, complete it, and return here to continue once you have the Cydia store on your phone.
Next we need to install the tweak from the Cydia store by doing the following:
1. Open Cydia.
2. Tap search at the bottom right.
3. Type in Forcy and tap it when it comes up.
4. Tap install at the top right.
5. Tap confirm and wait for it to install.
6. Tap restart springboard and wait for it to restart.
There are no options to configure, you can now just tap and hold on icons on the homescreen that support 3D Touch to get their quick actions.
What do you guys think about the whole 3D Touch being a hardware required feature from Apple? Anyone else calling bullshit?
