How to Remove the new Camera and Messenger Icons from Facebook App for Android

If you are a Facebook addict like me, I am sure you have installed the Facebook App on your Android device. The app has recently got an update which brought some new features to the app. These features include the Camera Icon and the Messenger Icon, which some user think are annoying and they don’t use them much. So, here, we have come up with a solution to help you in removing these unnecessary icons. In the following guide, we will show you how you can remove the new Camera and Messenger Icons from the Facebook App for Android. Here you go.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have a rooted Android smartphone in order to apply this solution.

2. There’re some issues with this solution, like the Facebook icon disappears when you enable/disable Camera and Messenger icons. Therefore, do it at your own risk.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Download the Facebook Icon Remover app from here.

III. Removing the Camera and Messenger Icons:

1. Download the App using the given link and install it on your phone.

2. Open Menu on your phone and then tap the app icon to launch it. You will get a screen similar to following:

Tap on “Disable Icon(s)” button

3. Tap on the Disable Icon(s) button from the main interface and you will get the following screen:

Tick-mark both options and hit OK button.

4. Make sure that both the Camera and Messenger options are checked, then tap on OK button. You will get the following screen confirming your action.

Tap on OK button and dialog box will be gone.

5. Tap on the OK button and the confirmation dialog box will be gone.

6. Reboot your phone using the Power button.

The unwanted Camera and Messenger icons have now been removed and you won’t see them any longer. In future, if you ever need to enable them, just open the app and tap on the Enable Icon(s) button.
