How to Root the Samsung Galaxy Pro
Just picked-up a brand new Samsung Galaxy Pro but have no clue where to get started with customization on this device? Look no further, rooting is the first step towards cusmization and this guide teaches how you can root your Galaxy Pro smartphone. Rooting your device will let any of the app installed on your device modify system files and this results in a device with all the customizations you need. So, let’s see how you can root your device.
I. Before You Begin:
1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.
2. This works on Windows based PCs only.
3. You should have appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you don’t, get them from here.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. SuperOneClick (Download link’s given in the first post)
III. Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Pro:
1. Download and place the SuperOneClick archive onto your Desktop.
2. Extract files from the archive over to your Desktop.
3. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by going to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.
4. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.
5. Double-click on the SuperOneClick executable file you have on your Desktop.
6. Click Root option in the app and it’ll start rooting your device.
7. Hit Yes when it asks you to install BusyBox app.
8. And you’re rooted now!
Congrats! You’ve successfully rooted your Galaxy Pro smartphone. Your favorite root-only apps are now waiting to be loaded on your device!
