How to Root the Trio Stealth Pro 9.7
Not so popular but still winning the hearts of the Android users, the Trio Stealth Pro 9.7 is an Android tablet running the Ice Cream Sandwich on-board. This 9.7″ inch tablet boasts a 1.20GHz processor and has resolution of 1024×768 pixels, not too good compared to what is found on other such tablets. The tablet’s got some love from XDA Developers in form of a root method, that claims to root the device and access root-only apps. Should you want to refine your device and have more useful apps, just follow the following guide and you’ll get your device rooted.
I. Before You Begin:
1. This will void the warranty of the device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting the device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.
2. The following procedure works on Windows based PCs only.
3. You should have drivers for your device installed on your PC.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Root Package (Download link’s given in the first post)
III. Rooting the Trio Stealth Pro 9.7:
1. Place the Root Package archive on the Desktop of your PC.
2. Extract files from the archive to your Desktop. Do NOT launch any files just yet.
3. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.
4. Double-click on the RunMe.bat file you extracted from the archive.
5. When it asks to select the mode, select Normal mode.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions.
7. And you should be rooted now!
Awesome! Your device now has root access and it will certainly help you add a bit of sweetness to the device!

We don’t guarantee it’d work with the 7″ version nor do we recommend to do it.
So, until we come up with a 7″ specific how-to, we suggest you to wait for it.

I’ve got a Trio Stealth Pro 7″ 4gb model that does NOT have the mini hdmi (there seems to one model with it, and one without) and I’ve had no luck rooting the device with this procedure. If you or anyone does finally have some luck with this, please let me know too!

Mahesh – First of all I want to thank you for what you do!! You ROCK! I have tried method after method to root my Trio Stealth Lite failing every time. From what I can tell Im not gettiing the correct drivers for the PC. I have the sdk the adt ran the usbdreview and still no success. Do you have any other options I cant root without it and I cant get Play without rooting.

Install them and then re-try the procedure, it should work fine.

im an “F it lets do this” kinda guy and I have a Stealth Trio 97C android tab running 4.0.4… Installed this rootkit thing and it worked like a charm!!!! I didnt use the 2014 root option as I listened and installed the normal option but eh… It works and FINALLY unlocked my android… Now I can figure how to run linux on this bad boy

I bought a Trio Stealth Pro from a friend. It has a password when it boots up and i don’t know what it is and he can’t remember it. How do i get in to reset that? I have no idea version it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
