Is there a need to unlock the bootloader before rooting? This procedure doesn’t talk about bootloader unlocking.

    • Mahesh Makvana

According to the source thread, you don’t need your bootloader to be unlocked to root your device.

  • Dominique

It didn’t work for me. I’ve tried many different methods and it never works. I guess I need to come to the conclusion that I have a pretty crappy phone and I should upgrade immediately.

  • ghostninja24

  • Joe F

Nothing jives. It doesn’t make sense. The recovery is a img not a bat. Fastboot doesn’t work on the phone. etc.
